I am a new Headteacher and not familiar with ECT Manager. Can I access user guides anywhere?
Yes! These can be accessed via the 'Content' Tab in the main menu tabs across the top of the ECT Manager homepage. On the resulting page, click 'Headteacher' at the top left of the screen and you will be presented with guides for all actions that a Headteacher may need to take in order to register a school or new person with the Appropriate Body.

I need to register my ECT. Do I just need to register them with the Appropriate Body? How do they receive training?
The statutory requirement for registering your ECT is fulfilled through registration with the Appropriate Body. Prior to this however, you must register your ECT with the DfE. The following link provides detail on this https://manage-training-for-early-career-teachers.education.gov.uk/
You will be asked if your ECT will undertake the Full, Core or School-based induction programme. If you require your ECT to participate in a Full Induction Programme fully funded by the DfE, then Inspire Learning NW offers this as a Delivery Partner for the Lead Provider University College London (UCL).
